Are we proud of our country yet?

I posted a new diary on the Daily Kos titled: "Are we proud of our country yet?", it was prompted by this picture:

These are just "stream of consciousness" thoughts that came up in the middle of an instant messaging conversation. So, if you're going to read then yell at me, at least read the whole thing then yell at me. :)
